The so called Liquidators who risked their lives (more or less knowingly)to clean and secure the site after the explosion at Chernobyl and the contaminated area around it. Some died during and after the time spent working there due to massive exposure to radiation ,others died or got sick in the years that followed from conditions related to the radiation they were exposed to and some were luckier and are yet to suffer.
